This statement applies to the Ready Region Blue Ridge website at readyregionblueridge.org.
Commitment and Standard
United Way of Greater Charlottesville, doing business as Ready Region Blue Ridge, is committed to making its website and digital content accessible to people with disabilities. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
The website has been designed and reviewed with WCAG 2.2 Level AA in mind. It has not yet undergone a formal independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim full conformance at this time. Accessibility remains part of how we design, review, and update the site.
Accessibility Measures
The website is designed to support accessible use through:
- Clear page structure, headings, labels, links, buttons, and form instructions.
- Keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus.
- Alternative text for meaningful images and appropriate treatment of decorative images.
- Responsive layouts that support smaller screens, text resizing, and browser zoom up to 200%.
- Readable color contrast without relying on color alone to communicate meaning.
- Reduced-motion support for visitors who prefer less animation.
- Keyboard, responsive, and automated accessibility checks as the site and its content are updated.
Known Limitations and Alternatives
Some third-party Tableau dashboards and older PDF reports may not fully meet the same accessibility standard as the website. We continue to address accessibility issues within our control.
If a dashboard, document, or other feature is difficult to use, please contact us. We will work with you to provide the information or service in another reasonable format.
Assessment and Review
This statement was prepared on August 25, 2026 through self-evaluation. We plan to review it annually and after significant changes to the website or its digital services.
